Statistics show that over R140 billion in liquidity has been attributed to the micro finance credit market in South Africa. The booming industry is overseen by the Micro Finance Regulatory Council (MFRC), which requires lenders to get accredited in order to curb unscrupulous lending tendencies. Even though the market is becoming increasingly saturated, there are lending institutions that are adept at standing out owing to their unique product offerings and services.
